Raindrops on Roses...

Today we talked about the need to think of our favorite things when the blahs get us down. Especially this time of year, it's easy to lose focus of what really matters sometimes, of what truly brings us joy, or even what makes us feel inspired. In B Lunch, we even talked about how the injustices we see in the world can really bring you down, too. And how, if you look hard enough, you can usually find a silver lining and sometimes good things can come from bad situations. A few BLunchers talked about being bullied in the past and while it was a horrible thing to go through, it has given them empathy for others in the same situation that they may not have had before. One Sister even talked about how her empathy has empowered her to stand up for others when she sees them being mistreated! Have you personally experienced something good from a bad situation? Please share--leave a comment below.

In both lunches we talked about our favorite things that lift our spirits no matter what. Here's a list of what the Sisters said:

Music--playing or listening, exercise, competitive sports, dancing, pets, writing, FRIENDS, beading, cleaning, making a mess, re-reading Harry Potter books, bundling up and rolling down a snowy hill, climbing a tree, knitting, baking, watching addictive tv shows, surfing the web for dream real estate, wearing fingerless gloves, movies, a new hat!

So, what are your favorite things, Sisters?

i have a HUGE list, but here are my favorites:
music, musicals, crayons, the ocean, reading, fairytales, summer nights, writting, sunny days, perfume, chocolate, Disney classics, dancing, acting, cats, traveling, PLMS, good movies with popcorn, and the sisterhood.

Looking up instead of down in always important to me. 2 people can go through the same thing and feel two different feelings. I remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel, so bad!
